Responds promptly to various death scenes and acts as primary official in charge of the body, personal effects and evidence; investigates deaths in order to determine the cause, manner and contributing factors in conjunction with the Medical Examiner, law enforcement authorities and the general public; ensures accurate and thorough investigations are conducted; performs various related duties.
